فَدَيْتُI would ransom مَنْthe one who زَرَعَتْsowed فيin القَلْبِthe heart لَحْظَتُهُhis glance
فَدَيْتُ مَنْ زَرَعَتْ في القَلْبِ لَحْظَتُهُ
صَبابَةًardent longing وَسَقىand watered بِالدَّمْعِwith tears ماwhat زَرَعاhe sowed
صَبابَةً وَسَقى بِالدَّمْعِ ما زَرَعا
I would give my life for him whose glance planted in the heart
I would give my life for him whose glance sowed in my heart
I ransomed the one whose glance planted
a passionate longing, and who watered with tears what the two had planted.
ardent longing, and who watered with tears what he sowed.
Tenderness in my heart and watered with tears what was planted
لوif أَنْthat قَلْبيmy heart وفّاهُgave him his full due مَحَبَّتَهُlove for him
لو أَنْ قَلْبي وفّاهُ مَحَبَّتَهُ
أَحَبَّهُwould love him بِقُلوبِwith the hearts of العالَمينَall humankind مَعاtogether
أَحَبَّهُ بِقُلوبِ العالَمينَ مَعا
If my heart repaid him his love in full,
If my heart were to give him the love he is due,
If my heart were true to his love
it would love him with the hearts of all beings together.
it would love him with the hearts of all humankind together.
I would love him with the hearts of all the worlds combined
