Do you not see the hill reveal to us
Don't you see the hills showing us
Wonders wrought by its March,
Marvels made by gentle March,
ويَلْبِسُand wears مِنْfrom مانَخايَالَهُits Mānakhāyāl
حُلِياًornaments عَلىupon تَلِّthe hill of زَمّارِهِits Zammār
And clothe itself, from its Mānakhāyāl,
Dressed in fancy clothes of imagination
In ornaments upon its Zammār hill?
On the slopes of their pipes?
وَقَدْand indeed نَقَّطَhas dotted الزَّهْرُthe blossom خَدَّthe cheek of الثَّرىthe earth
بِدِرْهَمِهِwith its dirham وبِدينارِهِand with its dinar
And the blossom has dotted the earth's cheek
Flowers have dotted the earth's cheek
With its dirham and its dinar,
With their coins and dinars.

And written on the sleeves of dusk
With its cinnabar and its verdigris.
With their paints and inks.
فلاso do not تُلْقِcast away كَأْساًa cup بِتأْخيرِهاby delaying it
ولاand do not يَوْمَa day of لَهْوٍpleasure بِإِنْظارِهِby postponing it
So do not cast away a cup by delaying it,
So do not delay to raise your cup
Nor a day of pleasure by postponing it.
Or waste a day of joy in waiting.
