O you who resemble the full moon in beauty,

And in splendor and perfection

وشَبيهَ الغُصْنِ ليناً

وقَواماً واعْتِدالا

and resemble the branch in suppleness,

And resemble the supple branch in tenderness

and in stature and proportion.

And in figure and proportion

أَنْتَ مِثْلُ الوَرْدِ لَوْناً

ونَسيماً ومَلالا

ونَسيماً ومَلالا

You are like the rose in color,

You are like a rose in color

and in fragrance and weariness.

And in fragrance and charm

زارَنا حَتَّى إِذا ما

زارَنا حَتَّى إِذا ما

سَرَّنا بِالقُرْبِ زالا

سَرَّنا بِالقُرْبِ زالا
