غَرُبَت بِالمَشرِق الشَم

غَرُبَت بِالمَشرِق الشَم

سُ فَقُل لِلعَينِ تَدمَع

In the East has set the su—

The sun has set in the east;

so tell the eye to weep.

So say to the teary eye

ما رَأَينا قَطّ شَمساً

غَرُبَت مِن حَيثُ تَطلَع
