لَوif كنتُI were أَملكُhave the power أَنto أُفارِقَpart from مُهجَتيmy soul
لَو كنتُ أَملكُ أَن أُفارِقَ مُهجَتي
لَجَعَلتُthen I would make ناظِرهاits eye عَليكِover you رَقيباa watchman
لَجَعَلتُ ناظِرها عَليكِ رَقيبا
If I had the power to part with my very soul,
If I had the power to part from my soul,
I would set its eye as a watcher over you,
I would make its eye a watchman over you,
حَذَراًout of concern عَليكfor you وإِنّنيand indeed I بِكِin you واثِقٌtrusting
حَذَراً عَليك وإِنّني بِكِ واثِقٌ
أَنso that لاnot ينالgain سوايَanyone other than me مِنكِfrom you نَصيباa share
أَن لا ينال سوايَ مِنكِ نَصيبا
Out of fear for you—though truly I trust you—
Out of concern for you, though I trust you,
that none but I will ever gain a share of you.
So that none but me might gain a share of you.
