ما فَرَّقَ الأَحبابَ بع

ما فَرَّقَ الأَحبابَ بع

د اللَهِ إِلا الإبلُ

د اللَهِ إِلا الإبلُ

Nothing parted the loved ones, after

God, except camels.

والناسُ يَلحَقون غَرا

والناسُ يَلحَقون غَرا

بَ البَين لما جَهِلوا

بَ البَين لما جَهِلوا

And people follow the raven

of parting, in their ignorance.

وَما إِذا صاحَ غرا

وَما إِذا صاحَ غرا

بٌ في الدِيار احتَمَلوا

بٌ في الدِيار احتَمَلوا

Nor do they, when a raven caws

in the dwellings, pack up and depart.

وَما عَلى ظَهرِ غِرا

وَما عَلى ظَهرِ غِرا

ب البَين تُطوى الرِحَلُ

ب البَين تُطوى الرِحَلُ

Nor on the back of the raven

of parting are journeys covered.

وَما غراب البَين إِل

وَما غراب البَين إِل

لا ناقةٌ أَو جَمَلُ

لا ناقةٌ أَو جَمَلُ

And the raven of parting is nothing

but a she-camel or a male camel.
