وَيَمَّموا مَكَةَ وَالعَقيقا
O finest band of riders who traveled a road,
O best band that traveled the road
O finest caravan to ever traverse the road,
And headed for Mecca and al-Aqiq,
And made pilgrimage to Mecca and Al-Aqeeq
Turning your faces toward Mecca and Al-Aqiq,

وَالخَشكَنانِ اليابِسِ الرَقيقا
And fed this one cakes and roasted-grain meal,
And fed he of dry bread and broth
Who served us savory cakes and barley meal,
And thin, dry khashkanan pastries.
And dry twigs, brittle and delicate
And dry, thin pastries, delicate and crisp.
