لَيسَthere is no فيهِin it عَنِaway from الغَرامpassionate love اِصطِبارُpatient endurance
لَيسَ فيهِ عَنِ الغَرام اِصطِبارُ
You who reproach me for loving, leave me, for my heart
Reproach me not for love's unrest, my heart
cannot bear to keep away from love.
Has no resistance to love's fervent dart.
حينَwhen يَبدوhe appears فيin حُسنِهِhis beauty وَعَلَيهِand upon him
حينَ يَبدو في حُسنِهِ وَعَلَيهِ
ذُوpossessing قَوامٍstature يَسبيcaptivates العُقولminds وَقارُdignity
ذُو قَوامٍ يَسبي العُقول وَقارُ
When he appears in his beauty, clothed—
When he appears in beauty's radiant guise,
he whose form captivates minds—in dignity.
In stately form to ravish hearts and eyes.
