He reproached me for the lām-shaped down on his cheeks;
Blame me for my desiring glances,
But once he saw him, reproach vanished.
Since I saw him, blame is gone.

وَقَد مَحا قَلبَهُ الهيام
And my reproacher fell madly in love with his mouth,
My soul is lost and crazed for his smile,
And passion had blotted out his heart.
His beauty has captured my heart.
