بالفاظ غيري عندك غيرك درُسه

And I congratulated him with a revelation of verse; no one has imparted

I praised him with poetry never recited before

Its lesson before you in words other than mine, save you.

In words other than mine, you learned it from yourself

صحيفته قلبي إذا ما كتبته

وأقلامه الأفكار والطبع نفسه

Its page is my heart whenever I write it,

And its pens are thoughts and innate poetic talent itself.
