تصارمتparted from one another الأجفانthe eyelids لماwhen صرمتنيyou forsook me
تصارمت الأجفان لما صرمتني
فماso not تلتقيthey meet إلاexcept علىover دمعةa tear تجريflows
فما تلتقي إلا على دمعة تجري
My eyelids parted when you forsook me;
The eyelids clashed when you offended me
So they meet only over a flowing tear.
They only meet over a tear that flows
