إِذا صَفَتِ المودةُ بين قومٍ
ودامَand endures إِخاؤُهمْtheir brotherhood سَمُجَbecomes unseemly الثناءُpraise
ودامَ إِخاؤُهمْ سَمُجَ الثناءُ
When affection is sincere among people,
When affection draws people together
and their brotherhood endures, praise becomes unseemly.
And their brotherhood endures, praise abounds
