ينقِّطُ لامَ الصدْغِ ياقوتُ خدِّه

بخالٍ ولو لم يُلفَ نَقْطٌ للامِهِ

بخالٍ ولو لم يُلفَ نَقْطٌ للامِهِ

The ruby of his cheek dots the lām of his temple-lock

Ruby adorns his cheek though no dot marks his lam

with a mole, even though no dots are found on his lām.

With a beauty spot even if no dot decorates his lam
