قَطَّبَتْ وجهَها وعبَّسَت الطر
فَcompletion of 'the gaze' وأرخَتْand let fall منof الدموعtears لآليpearls
فَ وأرخَتْ من الدموع لآلي
She furrowed her face and made her gaze stern,
Her face grew stern, the sky frowned dark,
and let fall pearls of tears.
And tears like rain fell from her eyes.
فاَنثنىْso it recoiled القلبُthe heart مُذْwhen رآهاit saw her جريحاًwounded
فاَنثنىْ القلبُ مُذْ رآها جريحاً
يتقطرdripping دماًblood كماءlike water الدواليthe waterwheels
يتقطر دماً كماء الدوالي
So the heart recoiled, wounded, when it saw her,
My heart has bled since seeing her
dripping blood like water from waterwheels.
Bleed drops of blood in her demise.
