مولايَ صَدْرَ بني العُلا

مولايَ صَدْرَ بني العُلا

ربَّ المناقب والمآثِرُ

ربَّ المناقب والمآثِرُ

My lord, foremost among the sons of eminence,

My Master, pride of the exalted clan

Master of virtues and noble deeds,

Lord of virtues and glorious deeds

طَوْد العلوم ومرتقى

طَوْد العلوم ومرتقى

أوْج الفضائل والمفاخرْ

أوْج الفضائل والمفاخرْ

A mountain of learning, and the ascent to

Pinnacle of knowledge and ascent

The summit of virtues and glories.

Zenith of merits and prides

لك مكرمات لا تُعَدُّ

لك مكرمات لا تُعَدُّ

ومنزع في الجود باهرْ

ومنزع في الجود باهرْ

Yours are noble deeds beyond counting,

You have countless honors

And a dazzling way of showing generosity.

And a clear inclination towards generosity

والعبدُ عبدٌ لا يزال

والعبدُ عبدٌ لا يزال

على الدعاء لكم مُثابر

على الدعاء لكم مُثابر

And the servant is a servant who remains

And I, your servant, shall always

Steadfast in prayer for you,

Persevere in praying for you

لا سيَّما أثر الدروس

لا سيَّما أثر الدروس

مع الأصائل والبواكر

مع الأصائل والبواكر

Especially after the lessons,

Especially remembering the lessons

As well as in late afternoons and early mornings.

With the roots and the first fruits

وله تأمل خارج

وله تأمل خارج

منكم وحال العبد ظاهر

منكم وحال العبد ظاهر

And he hopes for something forthcoming

And I have a reflection coming

From you; the servant's condition is plain.

From you, and the state of servant is apparent

ما إِن له سعيٌ يرى

ما إِن له سعيٌ يرى

إِلاَّ التوّجه بالخواطر

إِلاَّ التوّجه بالخواطر

No striving of his can be seen

He has no effort that he sees

Except the directing of his thoughts.

Except turning with thoughts
