ولقدAnd indeed أبيتُI spend the night وجلُّand most of ماwhat أدعُوI pray بهwith it
ولقد أبيتُ وجلُّ ما أدعُو به
حتىuntil الصباحthe morning وقدand indeed أُقضّhas been made restless المضجعُthe bed
حتى الصباح وقد أُقضّ المضجعُ
I spent the night, and foremost among what I prayed for
Indeed, I spend the night, and my chief prayer,
until morning—as my bed denied me rest—was this:
Until dawn, with my bed made restless, is:
ياO ربِّmy Lord إنindeed أخيmy brother لديكin Your keeping وديعتيmy entrusted charge
يا ربِّ إن أخي لديك وديعتي
أبداًforever وليسand does not يضيعget lost ماwhat تستودعُYou are entrusted with
أبداً وليس يضيع ما تستودعُ
“O Lord, my brother is the trust I place with You
“O Lord, my brother is my trust in Your keeping
forever; what is entrusted to You is never lost.”
Forever, and what is entrusted to You is never lost.”
