How lovely the ewer that came to you, safflower-tinted!

Its exterior has betrayed what lies within.

So it is like a gazelle that, upon a height, has begun

to crane its neck to listen closely.

With rosewater in its sides, it has begun

to breathe upon the faces of the company.

So it seems robed in a pearl,

    white, within a red ruby.
