The willow's blossoms lean

above the trees' topmost branches,

كأنَّه نَوافِجٌ

كأنَّه نَوافِجٌ

مُجَمَّماتٌ بالشَعرْ

مُجَمَّماتٌ بالشَعرْ

as though they were musk-pods

tufted with hair.

يفتضّها بَرْدُ الندى

يفتضّها بَرْدُ الندى

وما بها منه أَثَرْ

وما بها منه أَثَرْ

The coolness of dew deflowers them,

yet they bear no trace of it.
