And in a hollow of the valley we stopped for a noonday rest,

and on its two banks the grass beckons you to lushness:

to a lofty spot whose collar's clefts are buttoned shut

over the body of soft-soiled ground by tender boughs,

cool where shade creeps, spreading-branched and green,

fragrant with the wind's scent, distracting from distress.

When its streams flow steadily, you would imagine a company of jinn

rising to frolic where the breezes pass.

From those streams, woven chains were provided for them,

hung from the wind's hands, made of cool, sweet water.
