He turned his neck in shyness and greeted me
He bashfully bent his neck in greeting
with cups of wine, cup after cup.
And drank from cups of wine cup after cup

So I shook my hands free of flowers in full bloom,
So I shook off my hands from the blossoming flowers
for a quality that renewed my delight in him:
For I found in their meaning a charm

soft and plump, his appearance has the flowers’ pure whiteness
The murmuring of bees around the flowers
to my eye, and he is like silk to the touch.
Is a mirror to my eyes and a soft touch
