أَأَهتَمُّ يا خَيرَ البَرِيَّةِ والِداً

أَأَهتَمُّ يا خَيرَ البَرِيَّةِ والِداً

وَرَهطاً إِذا ما الناس عَدّوا المَساعِيا

وَرَهطاً إِذا ما الناس عَدّوا المَساعِيا

Should I worry, O best of creation in father

O Ahtam, O best of creation in paternal lineage,

Shall I care, O best of mankind’s race, a father

and clan, when people recount noble endeavors?

and in clan, when people reckon noble deeds.

And kinsfolk when people count their interests?

تَدارَك أَسيراً عانِياً في بِلادِكُم

تَدارَك أَسيراً عانِياً في بِلادِكُم

وَلا تُثقِفني التَيمَ أَلقَ الدَواهِيا

وَلا تُثقِفني التَيمَ أَلقَ الدَواهِيا

Come to the aid of a captive, suffering in your land,

Rescue a captive in bondage in your lands,

To aid a captive who suffers in your land

and do not let Taym capture me, lest I meet with calamities.

and do not hand me over to Taym, lest I encounter calamities.

And acquire no blemish, cast away by Time.
