ياO خالقCreator الكونthe universe والأكوانand the worlds عامرةteeming with life
يا خالق الكون والأكوان عامرة
ترجوhope for رضاكYour favor وترجوand hope for قسمةallotment الأجلِthe appointed lifespan
ترجو رضاك وترجو قسمة الأجلِ
O Creator of the universe, while the worlds teem with life,
O Creator of the universe and all worlds flourishing
They hope for Your favor and hope for their allotted lifespan.
You hope for Your approval and You hope for the allotted time of death
إياكYou alone أسألI ask فيin دُنيايَmy worldly life مَيسرةease
إياك أسأل في دُنيايَ مَيسرة
وفيand at المآلthe final return رِضاfavor ياO خالقCreator الأملِhope
وفي المآل رِضا يا خالق الأملِ
You alone I ask for ease in my worldly life,
I ask You for an easy life in my world
And, at the final return, favor, O Creator of hope.
And in the end, O Creator of hope, Your acceptance
أنتYou الإلهGod ومنكand from You اللهAllah كُلall هُدىguidance
أنت الإله ومنك الله كُل هُدى
وأنتand You حقاًtruly إلهGod باقيabiding الأزلِbeginningless eternity
وأنت حقاً إله باقي الأزلِ
You are God, and from You, Allah, comes all guidance.
You are God, and from You comes all guidance
And You are truly God, abiding from eternity.
And truly You are God, eternal
أنتYou المُزيلَthe remover لِمكروof hardship الحياةlife وفيand on
أنت المُزيلَ لِمكرو الحياة وفي
يومthe Day التناديof mutual calling يكونwill be القلبthe heart فيin وجلِdread
يوم التنادي يكون القلب في وجلِ
You are the remover of life's hardships, and on
You remove the cunning of life
The Day of Mutual Calling, the heart will be in dread.
And on the Day of Calling out, the heart will be anxious and fearful
ماnothing ليfor me سوىexcept أملٍhope فيin رحمةmercy ورضاand favor
ما لي سوى أملٍ في رحمة ورضا
فحققso fulfill اللهAllah ياO مولايmy Master ليfor me أمليmy hope
فحقق الله يا مولاي لي أملي
I have nothing but hope for mercy and favor.
I have nothing but hope in Your mercy and acceptance
So fulfill my hope for me, Allah, O my Master.
So fulfill, my Master, my hope
رجوتَyou hoped ربيmy Lord بعفوfor a pardon منهfrom Him يمنحنيHe grants me
رجوتَ ربي بعفو منه يمنحني
ويرتضينيand accepts me عبداًas a servant تافهpaltry العملِdeeds
ويرتضيني عبداً تافه العملِ
You hoped that my Lord would grant me His pardon,
I hoped in my Lord for His forgiveness to grant me
And accept me as a servant whose deeds are paltry.
And to accept me as a servant of little deed
مَنwho للمساكينfor the destitute فيin دُنياthe world الغرورdeception ومنand who
مَن للمساكين في دُنيا الغرور ومن
يمننُbestows favor علىupon تائبٍa penitent بالهمwith worry مُشتَعلِburning
يمننُ على تائبٍ بالهم مُشتَعلِ
Who is there for the destitute in the world of deception, and who
Who is for the poor in the misleading world, and who
Bestows favor upon a penitent burning with worry?
Will favor a repenting one, burning with anxiety
