O young in years, O you who wear him thin,
O young one, O sensitive soul
The longing of the one you have shunned has destroyed him.
Whose ardent longing I've extinguished

If you can endure a long separation,
If you can endure prolonged anguish
How weak he is in your absence!
Then in your absence, how weak it becomes!

He has not revealed, it is time you knew it.

For you have brought him close to his death,
Then I've brought it dangerously close to demise
And nothing but union with you can save him.
And nothing other than being with you can save it

You are a heart that offers him a promise;
You're a heart that makes promises
But when he asks it to fulfill that promise, it puts him off.
Then conveniently forgets them

And a bright, radiant brow—
A radiant brow, irresistibly charming
It buries whoever sees it once.
He who sees you once, buries himself

And a figure swaying gracefully among the hills,
A figure swaying coquettishly through the bushes
So the bān tree says, “How slender it is!”
Making the onlooker exclaim, how graceful!

And a mouth—if someone describing it said,
And a mouth - if one were to describe it
“It is like a jujube,” he would not have known it.
It's like ripe grapes, unmatched

Curved cheeks, perfect pearls
Gleaming—glory to Him who joined them together!
Glory to Him who created them!

And upon your breast, a tuneful melody,
On your chest, a melody sings
Enamored of trilling—how enamored it is!
Taxing the echo with its complexity

And at your hips, a haughty camel-driver,
And in your hips, a protruding tilt
Weighing down your steps—how haughty he is!
Burdening your steps with its beauty!

So it would be gracious of you, after such injustice, O
So it's fair after the injustice, O
Hope of the deprived, to treat him justly.
Hope of the deprived, that you make amends
