Happiness appeared and we forgot our features
And who is Suʿād when her caravans pass by?
And when the caravans of happiness passed

They pleased your enemy—rather, they fear a reversal of fortune.
They pleased your enemy, yes they fear a circle

No inheritance in it, nor has Aryanism held sway.
No inheritance in it and no banners possessed it
A kingdom from the cave and al-Ṣiddīq, and it fell into order...
A king from the cave and the truthful one and integrated

So there is no caliphate in my age for me to pledge allegiance to.
So there is no caliphate in my time which I pledged allegiance to

It collapsed upon us as it collapsed on its bowl

O my master, they are the afflictions of poetry that soothe me
