إِيّاكِyou (feminine) اِلقيI cast العِبءَthe burden عَنfrom عاتِقيmy shoulder
إِيّاكِ اِلقي العِبءَ عَن عاتِقي

أَبيعُها لِلنّاسِ بِالدافِقِ
It is precious to people, yet I
You overwhelm people, but I
Sell it to the people for gushing [blood].
Sell it to people gushing forth
ياO لَيتَنيwould that I were اِشلاءtorn limbs فيin مهمَةٍa wilderness

مناشَةَpickings for الناعِبِthe cawing bird وَالناعِقِand the croaking bird
مناشَةَ الناعِبِ وَالناعِقِ
Oh, would that I were torn limbs in a wilderness,
Oh, if only I could be occupied with a task
Pickings for the cawing and croaking birds.
