إِذا رَقَّ إِحساسُنا في الوُجود

إِذا رَقَّ إِحساسُنا في الوُجود

وَفاضَت أَحاسيسُنا الشاعِرَهْ

وَفاضَت أَحاسيسُنا الشاعِرَهْ

If our sensibility grows tender in the world,

When our feelings soften in existence

And our poetic feelings overflow,

And our poetic senses overflow

إِذا ما صَهَرنا قُيودَ العَبيدِ

إِذا ما صَهَرنا قُيودَ العَبيدِ

بِنارٍ مِنَ القُوَّةِ القاهِرَهْ

بِنارٍ مِنَ القُوَّةِ القاهِرَهْ

If we melt the slaves’ shackles

When we melt the shackles of slaves

With a fire of overpowering strength,

With an overpowering fire

إِذا ما نَعِمنا بِلُقيا المُنى

إِذا ما نَعِمنا بِلُقيا المُنى

وَقَرَّت رَغائِبُنا الحائِرَهْ

وَقَرَّت رَغائِبُنا الحائِرَهْ

If we delight in attaining our hopes,

When we enjoy the meeting of wishes

And our bewildered desires find rest,

And our perplexed desires settle

إِذا كانَ هذا فَثَمَّةَ عيد

إِذا كانَ هذا فَثَمَّةَ عيد

وَتِلكَ مَظاهِرُهُ الساحِرَهْ

وَتِلكَ مَظاهِرُهُ الساحِرَهْ

If this comes to pass, then there is a feast,

When this happens, then there is a feast

And those are its enchanting displays.

And those are its magical aspects

وَثَمةَ يَحسنُ وَجهَ الحَياةِ

وَثَمةَ يَحسنُ وَجهَ الحَياةِ

فَتُصبِحُ فَتّانَةً ناضِرَهْ

فَتُصبِحُ فَتّانَةً ناضِرَهْ

And then the face of life grows beautiful,

And the face of life looks beautiful

So it becomes captivating and radiant,

To become a blossoming seductress

وَتُجمِل دُنيا زَهرَ نابِها

وَتُجمِل دُنيا زَهرَ نابِها

وَإِلّا فَمَوعِدُنا الآخِرَهْ

وَإِلّا فَمَوعِدُنا الآخِرَهْ

And a world beautifies the blossom of its fang,

And adorns the world, the flower of its freshness

Otherwise, our rendezvous is in the Hereafter.

Else our next appointment is the hereafter
